Weekly Leagues in Nearly Every State
NHPA-sanctioned leagues operate weekly and are available in almost every state, offering a fun, competitive, and inclusive environment for pitchers of all ages and abilities—including physically challenged participants. Leagues use a handicap scoring system designed to give every pitcher an equal chance to win, making the sport accessible to beginners while still exciting for experienced players.
Benefits of Sanctioned League Play
Joining an NHPA-sanctioned league provides access to a wide range of member benefits, including awards and recognition programs, Junior patches and scholar awards, and eligibility to enter any open NHPA-sanctioned tournament. League participants can earn patches for achievements such as League Champion, High Game, High Average, Most Improved, Sportsmanship, Rookie of the Year, and more. Junior pitchers can also earn academic recognition through the NHPA Junior Scholar Award Program.
A Sport for Everyone
Horseshoe pitching is a low-impact, healthful activity involving walking, bending, stretching, and light lifting—ideal for players of all ages. Whether played casually in a backyard or competitively on prepared courts, the sport welcomes a wide range of pitching styles and abilities. Beginners will find plenty of support and coaching from experienced pitchers within their league.
