Kevin Lewis, the 2019 Arch Stokes Award winner started his horseshoe career back in 2011 in Monroe, LA where he presented to the NHPA delegation, the winning bid to host the 2013 World Horseshoe Tournament (WT) in St. George UT. After winning the bid, Kevin join the NHPA and started pitching horseshoes and qualified to pitch at the 2013 World Tournament. Kevin has since pitched in 4 WTs, placing 3rd in his class at the 2015 World Tournament in Topeka, KS. Though his hard work, the membership of the St. George horseshoe club in Southern Utah doubled from 60 members to 120 members in two years. Under Kevin's leadership, the St. George Area Sports Commission put in another successful bid to host the WT for the second time in 2017. Kevin has an enthusiastic attitude and a vision for success. His contributions to the sport over the past seven years have brought valuable perspective and positive energy to the horseshoe community
