Player: Hershel was a long-time horseshoe pitcher, but it was not until he advanced to the Elder Men's Division that he reached his prime. He qualified for the Elder Championship Division at seven World Tournaments, winning World Championships in 2008 at 10-1 77.37%; 2009 at 11-0 81.25%; and placing 3^rd in 2010 at 10-3 77.86%. Hershel was Indiana Elder's state champion in 2008, 7-0 76.6%; 2009 7-0 86.7%; 2011 5-0 75.0%; and 2012 7-0 75.94%.
