Dennis Ohms, UT

Inducted 2017

Promoter/Organizer: When the Game Related Sales program was started, Dennis became a distributor and was still active in the program 32 years later at the time of his passing.  He formed the Omega Horseshoe Company when the Queen City Forge discontinued production of the Gordon Spin-on shoe and reintroduced the shoe to pitchers as the "Legend."  To name a few of his promotion successes, he led a good will to Japan in 1989 and a return trip in 1991, that introduced the sport to thousands of Japanese people.  When the World Senior Games began in the late 1980s, Dennis was asked to take charge of the horseshoe events that brought competitors from across the USA and foreign countries, he did that task for 24 years.  Dennis was instrumental in bringing the 2013 World Tournament to St. George, Utah and again in 2017.  Dennis passed away in 2017 before the WT.
