LEE DAVIS, Florida & New Jersey

Organizer: Lee’s first organization work was the Englewood Club back in 1933 and it ran for over 60 years.  The next year he joined the New Jersey and National Associations.  He helped at most of the State Tournaments for several years.  In the late 40’s, he started the first handicap league in Bergen County that ran for 10 years.  Being an excellent pitcher at that time, he put on many exhibitions for different clubs and organizations.  Lee was New Jersey State Champion in 1960, at age 53.  He worked with the Middlesex Club that led to being an outstanding club that held the World Tournament in 1971. 

 

He then moved to Beaumont Texas and worked to organize clubs and attended tournaments throughout the state of Texas.  He then moved on to Florida, where he continued to promote new clubs, served as Regional Director, and President of the Seminole Club.
