A Thank You from the NHPA National Office

As World Tournament Director, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on this year’s event. While it may have seemed that things went very smoothly, which they did, a lot of work and effort go into this and a lot of people deserve to be recognized and thanked.

I want to start off by thanking Rob Hagman. I enlist Rob’s help right from the beginning of building the schedule and it continues right to the printing out of the last page of results. I also want to thank my fellow Council members who do so much behind the scenes to make the tournament run as smooth as it does. And of course, everyone else who does what we affectionately call “shift” work. In all, it takes a staff of close to a dozen people to make it all work every day. The staff at the Multiplex were simply amazing. I can’t say enough about all the help they gave us. And lastly, I want to thank my wife Carla, for being by my side for three weeks and keeping me loaded with Pepto-Bismol.

Looking forward to another one next year in St George, Utah and believe it or not, that work has already started.
