Thank you to all of you who stopped by our booth at the WT.  We sincerely appreciate it and enjoyed speaking with all of you. We hope we answered all your questions. If not please do not hesitate to ask – kcslus@sbcglobal,net.

We had nice things on the table beginning with a hand carved walking stick that brought in $772.00 many thanks to Marcel Guilmette (CT) for donating this fine item.  We received a hand made coat rack that went as an auction item at the banquet. Thank you Melvin Jeardoe of KS for this donation plus the horseshoe decoration.  Dee and Gary Null were once again huge contributors with two nice goodie bags plus a brand new horseshoe box all stuffed with GRS items. Dave Fisher PA donated some autographed hats and horseshoes plus a one of a kind trading card of Alan Francis. Of course the auction would not have been the same without NHPA auctioneer Paul Stewart (NC) and his side kick Arie Shaly of ON.  Thanks to all of you who bought those items at the banquet.  Denise Daly, you were outstanding running the 100 shoe toss as a benefit for the foundation.  She contributed $330.00 from that venture, thank you all who participated in this fund raising effort.  The 100 shoe toss seems to be a hit. The carving of the WT logo done by Ron Higley (MO) was in our silent auction on our table to final bid was $85.00, thanks Ron. There is a 50/50 table raffle that we conduct at the banquet every year, an idea first brought to the NHPA by Gene Burlingame of IA (Burly, the original Stewlie).  It’s been a hit since its inception and this year the winning table, Joan Elmore TN, Debra Odum TX, Walter Ray Williams FL, Bill & Shalee Casson FL, Bill & Joyce Campbell TX, and Dee & Bill King TX, donated their winnings back to the NHPF. Nine people at the table did not even have a second thought about donating it back. Folks we sincerely thank you for your generosity!

Thank you everyone for participating in spreading the word about the foundation and the fund raising efforts at the WT.  We picked up a few more brick orders also.  If you’ve seen the patio lately you can see that there are parts that are full and certain areas that could use a few more inscribed brick.  All inscriptions are possible as long as we can read it in church. Think about what you would put on a brick to honor your horseshoe career, your local club, your parents, your son or daughter your grandson or granddaughter.  Remember Christmas is coming soon and a brick would make a wonderful gift for a loved one.

Thanks to my fellow directors for picking up the slack as I had to rush off Saturday night to get Travis into the U.S. Marines.  We sincerely thank all of you for your continued support. Those that have not participated lately please reconsider a monthly stipend to our foundation.  Remember it is YOUR Hall of Fame that we maintain.
