Head of Mon Horseshoe Tournament Winners Crowned

Winners were crowned in six classes at the 30th Head of the Mon Horseshoe Tournament at East Marion Park.

 

Cindy Hoffman of Pennsylvania won Class A with a 5-1 record and 73.67 ringer percentage.

 

She was followed by Paul Salisbury of West Virginia (3-3, 51.67), Robert Faidley of Pennsylvania (2-4, 66.67) and Glen Leonard of West Virginia (2-4, 54.67).

 

Billy Breeden of Virginia won Class B with a 6-1 record and 59.09 ringer percentage.

 

He was followed by Randall Weakley of Virginia (5-2, 52.65), Kevin L. Bowman of Virginia (1-5, 48.18) and James Carpenter Jr. of West Virginia (1-5, 40.88).

 

Sara Powroznik of West Virginia won Class C with a 6-1 record and 48.26 ringer percentage.

 

She was followed by Nate Shelton of West Virginia (5-2, 42.47), Charles Varney of West Virginia (4-3, 36.28), Jerry Nelson of West Virginia (4-3, 31.29), Wilfred Kahrig of Ohio (3-4, 30.73), Meredith Kahrig of Ohio (2-5, 37.57), Bill Cole of Ohio (2-5, 31.00) and Roger Wehr of Ohio (2-5, 27.14).

 

Arjay Whipkey of West Virginia won Class D with a 5-1 record and 40.46 ringer percentage.

 

He was followed by Jay Cunningham of West Virginia (3-3, 35.92), Ken Burkhard of Ohio (2-4, 35.56) and Joe LeRoy of West Virginia (2-4, 30.14).

 

Ken Wilhelm of West Virginia won Class E with a 6-0 record and 38.60 ringer percentage.

 

He was followed by Stacy Hudson of West Virginia (5-1, 35.17), Burton Hare of West Virginia (3-3, 24.14), Alan Stover of Tennessee (3-3, 22.93), John Shuster of West Virginia (2-4, 23.67), Charles Casey of West Virginia (2-4, 19.93) and Greta Shipley of West Virginia (0-6, 15.41).

 

William Buckel of Maryland won Class F with a 5-1 record and 25.00 ringer percentage.

 

He was followed by Doug Shipley of West Virginia (3-3, 16.35), Ron Weiss of Pennsylvania (3-3, 14.00) and Adam Nelson of West Virginia (1-5, 12.67).

 

A total of $2,285 was paid to winners.
