Rollin Futrell Receives Stokes Memorial Award
"The Arch Stokes Memorial Award went to Rollin Futrell during the ceremonies at the World Tournament in Greenville, Ohio.

Rollin is Secretary of the Drake County Horseshoe Pitchers' and has guided the Greenville club for a number of years. He served this year as the World Tournament Coordinator and his efficient and dedicated service in this capacity for the past year or more did much to make the event the success it was with the greatest entry list in history.

Under his guidance the Greenville Club and the city of Greenville has become known as the horseshoe capital of the United States. The popularity of the annual Greenville Ringer Classic over the 4th of July with its huge entry list, the Greenville Open early in the season each year and the big Ohio State Tournament held annually at Greenville have all been the responsibility of Rollin Futrell during the past few years."
