Dave was elected to the NHPA Exectutive Council in 2011. He served as 3VP and National Sanctioned League Director until 2015 when he was elected as Secretary/Treasurer. He was the World Tournament Director for the 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 events. While Sec/Treasurer Dave made major improvements to the NHPA's financial record keeping. He also worked on creating a complete database of the NHPA membership. Dave has made several horseshoe pitching video clips and display posters to help promote the sport. He was a member of the team that developed eShoe and currently serves as the eShoe administrator. In addition, Dave serves on the Board of Directors of the National Horseshoe Pitchers Foundation.
