Historic Era Player: Truman was an easy-going gentleman who was said to be honest and forthright.  Anything he attempted was done right and he said that the word “quit” just wasn't up to his “Standard”.  He won the Illinois State championship three times; 1953, 1954 and again in 1955.  He participated weekly in the famed 1956 Chicago based TV series, Championship Horseshoes and was inducted into the Illinois HOF in 1981.  Truman pitched in eight World Tournaments and qualified for the Championship Men's Division each time.  He won 48 games in the top division and had three 'top ten' finishes.  In his WT career, he averaged 73.50%
