Promoter: Marion Lange was born in 1912, joined the Des Moines Horseshoe Club in 1928 and pitched horseshoes for 55 years. Marion served as the Co-Chairman of the Iowa State Fair Horseshoe Tournament from 1974 to 1980. He was co-chairman of the 1978 NHPA World Tournament and was awarded an NHPA Achievement Award in 1977. He qualified four times for the Men’s Championship Class, 1946, 1654, 1957, and 1960.
