JACK FREEMAN, Nashville, Tennessee

Inducted 2009

Promoter/Organizer: Jack played in his first sanctioned horseshoe tournament in 1988 and in 1989 attended his first World tournament.  An idea was born, and he bought land in Joelton, TN, with intentions to build an indoor pitching facility.  In 1996 he was the recipient of the Arch Stokes Memorial Award.  An idea was forming in Jack's mind to donate the land in parcels as a future site for a NHPA Hall of Fame.  The NHPF came into being at that point to receive the gifts.  Jack's untimely death in 2003, ended his dream with only some of the property having been donated.  Using Jack’s completed donations as the funding base, the NHPF was able to complete the HOF at the present-day site in Wentzville, thus fulfilling Jack’s hopes and dreams.
