CHARLES BOBBITT, Ohio

Inducted 2021

Historic Players Era: Charles only pitched in two World Tournaments as far as records show finishing 2nd in the summer of 1920 and winning the World Championship in 1921.  He may have pitched in other events in the 19 teens which may have been pitched and the data lost, or they may not have occurred.  He had a record of 35 and 1 with 799 ringers to finish 2nd In 1920.  Charles won the WT with a 20-1 record and 439 ringers in 1921.  The win loss record in deceiving because the winner was determined using total points.  This was the last year for that process and was also his last WT.  It is believed that he pitched in several Ohio Championships.  He was elected to the Ohio HOF in 1979.
