PUTT MOSSMAN, Eldora Iowa
     A farmer boy who first won world's championship honors at the tournament in Minneapolis, Minn., September 17 to 21, 1924, from a field of 23 other contestants, including Frank Jackson, former world's champion pitching a record-breaking game with him. He successfully defended his title in the tournament at Lake Worth, Fla., February 16 to 28, 1925, from a field of 31 other contestants, pitching another record-breaking game with Bert Duryee.
