HORSESHOE COMPENDIUM

Preface continued

Indiana; Raymond E. Adams, of Maine; S. S. Randell, of Massachusetts; L. O. Rigney, of South Dakota; Fred Butler, of Vermont, and Leland Mortenson, of Iowa, for contributing valuable articles for use in this book.
It is the earnest hope of this Association that a book devoted to the game shall be published in the spring of each year, and that each edition will contain complete information concerning the happenings of the year before. In other words, just as the" Horseshoe World" is the monthly magazine of horseshoe pitchers, so this will become the year-book of the sport. Your Secretary would like comment on this book; whether it pleased you, or whether it did not, and if not, why.
In closing, let me urge each and everyone to join the National Association, subscribe to the" Horseshoe World", use only sanctioned horseshoes, and spread the gospel of this grandest of all sports wheresoe'er you may go.
