Council-enacted Rule to be voted on at 2010 Convention
You may recall a recent Rules change, enacted by our Council, which allows qualified members to move into the Elders Division upon purchasing their NHPA membership card, usually available in October of the preceding year. This may allow up to three additional months for them to complete the four sanctioned events that are required for entering the World Tournament. The details of this Rules change can be found in an earlier issue of Newsline Magazine and were also posted on the NHPA Website. These details will also be included in the Delegate Packet so that Charter Officers and delegates can review the information before voting, at the World Tournament annual Convention in Cedar Rapids.

Proposed Bylaws changes for 2011
The following information is taken from our current NHPA Bylaws (see Article X on page 9, and Standing Rule 12, on page 11):

ARTICLE X1: Amendments
Section 1. These Bylaws may be amended as follows:
a. At every third Convention beginning in 2008, by a two-thirds majority vote, provided notice was given in the Call to Convention.

Standing Rule 12: "All member-proposed changes to the NHPA Bylaws… shall be submitted in writing to the respective Committee Chairperson and shall be postmarked no later than December 31st of the year preceding the appropriate Convention."
