 Special Vista Install instructions.

To date we have had quite a bit of problems installing on Vista, however we do now have it running on Vista. I would reccommend the following. Make sure that the user account that you are running under, has administrator privileges. To do this go to Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > Add or Remove user accounts. You will see the account that you are using listed there. The account will either be "Standard User" or Administrator. If it is not Administrator, then click on > Change the account Type and change to Administrator. Vista has much more built in security, and only Administrator accounts can install certain software. We are still not real certain that the Vista installs will go smoothly, but can probably work thru it.

HSMaster was created in an effort to simplify record keeping for tournament directors, league directors, state statisticians, and state secretaries.

If you have never installed HSMaster on your computer, then you will probably want to use this install. It comes with an empty HSMaster.mdb database. To install the software just click on the HSmasterInstall.exe file to launch the installer. Once the software is installed, you may want to launch HSMaster, click on the Help link and print out the Help file. The help file is a little bit dated, but will still help a lot.

 

OTHER OPERATING SYSTEMS

Requirments: *Windows 98, or above. * 200 MHz machine, with *32 Megs of ram.  I would prefer that you had 64 Megs of ram, to get good performance.

The download file is a self installing exe file.

If you do not have Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater installed on your machine, HSMaster may not run without loading either IE 5.0 or several other components on your computer.

 

Download Information:  Download the file into a temporary folder, and there is a self installation that will be initialized upon clicking on icon.

 

Download size:  This is a file, 13.1 MB.

I have a 56k modem on my machine and am connecting to the Internet at 46k. This file takes about 45 minutes to download for me at the 46k speed. You can compare your modem and connecting speed and judge your download time from this.
